Located at Mohawk Marina, in Lowbanks, Hippo’s is a perch lovers paradise. Using only the freshest fish caught in Lake Erie, Hippo’s many may be small, but it definitely does not fall short on taste. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you can find something to eat for the seafood lover or the not-so seafood lover. When In Rome
Even though Hippo’s has a variety of choices on their menu, Joe went there for perch and that’s what he got. Butterflied coconut shrimp, fried to perfection with a tangy dipping sauce was fantastic. A perch sandwich is next. Topped with lettuce, tomato and special sauce, this sandwich is to die for. Last is a fish taco. You can’t get any fresher than this. Perch is caught daily and prepared for maximum freshness. A couple of cold beers and a beautiful view, makes this Must See Monday one to remember.
