Health Happenings Week 16: When Life Gets in the Way
Week 16 of the journey we started back in February, and Week 3 since moving on from training with Zac Spinosa at Forge Fitness. Zac, I owe a lot of this to you. Forging this gold medal body started with you, and I'm grateful to call you a friend.
Nicer weather, busier life
The weather is a lot better than February, which means great walks and even some runs outside. It also means real estate is busy and Alright Robyn has put me to work. I've spent hours outside building new gardens. Some days I had to mash my walk, my run and my home workout together just to fit it all in.
The scale isn't everything
The scale read 206 pounds even, and I'd argue some of that is the quarantine fro. This thing has volume. The scale isn't the be-all and end-all, but I'll take it. Even with a less regimented week, we still saw a drop. I hope it wasn't muscle, but with all the bodyweight work I'm not too worried.
Not falling off this time
Here's the difference between now and the last time I fell off the wagon. Missing an exercise session doesn't mean I suddenly start eating chips, pop, pizza, burgers and takeout every day and throw away everything I've worked for. Things won't always go perfectly. That's life. I'm keeping my eyes on the prize.
Health Happenings is a lifelong thing now. I've got a lot on my plate, but I'm keeping it public to hold myself accountable, and hopefully to keep inspiring you.
