Health Happenings Week 26: What's in My Fridge and Pantry
So many people have been asking what I've done to lose this much weight, and how I managed to do it during a global pandemic. This week, instead of just telling you, I'm taking you inside Alright Robyn's house to show you exactly what's stocked in the fridge and the pantry.
Why the kitchen matters
If there's one thing this journey has taught me, it's that the food you keep in the house decides most of your meals. When the fridge is full of vegetables, fruit and lean proteins and the pantry has whole grains, lentils, beans and healthy staples, the easy choice becomes the good choice. When it's full of junk, the opposite happens.
The staples
Throughout this journey our go-to foods have included things like:
- Fresh vegetables and fruit, including whatever's growing in the garden
- Lean proteins like chicken, fish and extra lean ground beef
- Wild rice, quinoa, lentils and beans
- Oats, chia, flax and hemp hearts for breakfast
- Hot sauce. Always hot sauce.

Consistency is the secret
Something worth pointing out: I've published a video every week since this journey started, documenting the whole process. That consistency is a big part of the accountability.
A heavy week
This was a heavy week for food, and I'm nervous the scale will reflect it. Will this be my first up week? Watch to find out.
