Health Happenings Week 49: Back on Schedule After the Holidays
Week 49 of Health Happenings, and we're taking it out to the streets. It's gorgeous for January in Canada. It's actually been nine days since my last update, so it'll be interesting to see what that does to the scale.
Still some treats
The holidays are over, and so are my excuses. That doesn't mean there weren't temptations. We had pizza this weekend, and at a small family gathering I had a big serving and a half of one of my favourites, pasta puttanesca. Then I crushed a homemade ice cream cake. About a quarter of the tray. And I loved it. But I made sure I earned it with a long yog beforehand.
Back on schedule
The best part of this week was shaking off the holidays. No more no-schedule days and eating whatever. Other than the pizza reviews and that ice cream cake, I ate well. A typical snack was a banana with almond butter.
In the nine days since my last weigh-in I did 12 exercise sessions.
The result
Last weigh-in: 185.4. Today: 181.8. Down 3.6 pounds and about 70 pounds from where I started.
Healthy together
Alright Robyn and I are both working on our health together, in the same environment, the same bubble. That makes it so much easier. I also break down one of my favourite workouts in this episode. It works the glutes and hamstrings and gives me a great rush when I'm done, more value for my time than just working the pretty muscles like biceps.
