How I Gained 5 Pounds (And Why Accountability Matters)
It's been four months since my last Health Happenings update. What's been going on? I haven't been slacking on exercise. I've kept up 10K yogs every other day and mixed in some nice bike rides. I've also been focusing on a mostly plant-based diet.
Where it went wrong
I've still been doing pizza reviews, and mixing in way too many indulgences. Last time I weighed in I was 175 pounds. Today I'm over 180. That's a gain of five pounds, in completely the wrong direction.
Why I'm back on camera
This is exactly why I post these. Without the videos I'm not holding myself accountable, and it shows. So the weekly weigh-ins are back. Time to get going in the right direction again.
The lesson
You can keep exercising and still gain weight if the food slips. Exercise is great, but it doesn't replace the diet. And accountability, whether it's a video, a friend or a group, makes a massive difference.
