Dean Allison, Conservative MP for Niagara West, is back on the Happenings Podcast, this time in the middle of the 2025 federal campaign. I sent an invite to every sitting MP. I was hoping for three responses. I got one, and it was Dean. Over the years we've become friends.
What we talked about
- Committee work. The committees Dean has chaired and the one that showed him the "machinery of government" most clearly.
- Spending. Why government spending should be looked at the way families balance their books at home.
- How to vote. Practical tips for marking your ballot properly.
- Choosing who represents you. Why knowing your local candidate matters.
Whatever your politics, it's worth knowing who represents you and how government works. Check out our 2023 episode too. Thanks again, Dean.
