Happenings Podcast with William O'Sullivan

I first came across William O'Sullivan through a popular Facebook page called Welland Memes. At first, all I knew about Sully was that he was "Church Guy." I knew there was more to the story, and I wanted to learn what he was doing standing out front of St. Kevin's Parish.

A real, raw conversation

Sully has been through a lot, and he talks about it openly. This is one of the most honest conversations we've had on the podcast. Topics include:

• Sobriety. Sully was coming up on nine years sober when we recorded.
• Why he stands outside the church. The message he's trying to share, and the people who reach out to him every week.
• Rehabilitation and change. His belief that people can change, and what that journey has looked like for him.
• Cannabis and CBD. His experience with it and what he's learned.

Some of the subject matter is heavy. It's a story about hardship, accountability and trying to do better, told by the person who lived it. Thank you, Sully, for trusting me with it.
