Health Happenings Week 22: Batting Cages and Inspiring Brian
Week 22. Five and a half months of forging this gold medal body. I'm walking along Dexter Road in Wainfleet, the road I've done so many of my walks and runs on.
The weigh-in
I just got off the scale and the journey continues: 192.2 pounds, down another 2.2. We're getting close to the next goal. I've told the Right Choice media team that once I get under 190, we're having a pizza party. It was supposed to be at 200, but now we're calling it at 190.
Batting cages
The Right Choice crew hit the batting cages this week. I wanted to do the kids' slow pitch. Instead I got talked into the adult fastball cage, with balls coming at me around 70 or 80 miles an hour. It felt like a million. For the first time in my life I actually hit a hardball. It was scary and it was a workout.
More tennis
Three of us played at the Wainfleet courts this week, plus another session with Alright Robyn. Exercise with good people, having fun, is the best kind.
Brian's journey
This is the part I'm most excited about. A lot of people have told me I've inspired them, but Brian is special. He's joined Right Choice as a recruit getting his real estate license, and he's been coming out to HQ to walk and yog with me. The first walk wasn't easy for him. On his second yog he nearly doubled the length. He's showing determination and commitment to himself, and it's amazing to see my journey help someone else start theirs.
